Dear reader,
Odebrecht Informa magazine has a brand-new look as a result of an extensive revamping of its graphic design. In keeping with the latest trends in graphic and editorial standards, its new design gives the magazine more visual impact while making it easier to read. The articles, which tell the stories of Group members’ accomplishments, are more legible, and the photographs take up more space so as to better document Odebrecht’s capacity to overcome the challenges it faces on a day-to-day basis. New sections have been introduced to bolster the area of knowledge, furnishing ample room for the discussion of ideas related to the entrepreneurial environment; ideas that, due to their significance, can help our readers add value to their work, and sometimes to their personal lives.
Despite these changes, Odebrecht Informa is basically the same. Created in 1973 as a newsletter, for over 30 years it has been an important outlet for disseminating the Odebrecht Culture. The magazine is always transforming and renewing itself, and has undergone several changes in its editorial and graphic design. However, as Norberto Odebrecht likes to say, “everything changes on the basis of a changeless foundation.” In the case of this magazine, the changeless foundation is its reason for being and objectives, which include valuing people and the work they do; valuing the Odebrecht Group for what it accomplishes through those people; providing support for the Group companies’ businesses by sharing Odebrecht’s entrepreneurial culture and competencies in its fields of operation with our external readership; being a tool for internal cultural exchange by disseminating the Odebrecht Entrepreneurial Technology, organizing the Group’s memory and sharing information and ideas with company members that can improve their individual and collective performance; and helping bolster the intangible bonds between the organization’s members by helping them develop the feeling of belonging to a larger community, a group of people connected by the same principles and aims.
