The leading company for the Group’s Engineering & Construction business is Construtora Norberto Odebrecht (CNO), Brazil’s number one service exporter. Its vast experience, the quality of its close relationships with the communities where it is active and its capacity to provide financial engineering solutions for large-scale projects have enabled CNO to participate in major projects in the countries in which it operates.

The Engineering & Construction business includes several segments (Energy – Brazil, Infrastructure – Brazil and Industrial Plants) and delegated markets (Latin America and Angola, International Infrastructure and Venezuela).

In 2008, Odebrecht managed 170 projects simultaneously in these delegated segments and markets.
