A fresh look at what’s new

Since October 1973, when it was created in the format of a small in-house newsletter, Odebrecht Informa magazine has kept pace with the Odebrecht Group’s growth. Over the years, the magazine has been continuously updated, and its graphic and editorial features have changed to suit the changes taking place in the organization in different cultural and business environments.
This issue of Odebrecht Informa marks the beginning of a new chapter in its history. This time around, the changes are due to the communication needs of members of this organization, which has embarked on a new era since the end of 2008, with new business leaders and a large number of newcomers working in its companies.
Furthermore, given the changing demands of the working world and the constant technological advances that are impacting communication, there was a clear need to produce a leaner magazine that makes it easier and faster for readers to absorb information.
Now with a new graphic design, which readers will be able to peruse in this 32-page issue, Odebrecht Informa will continue to take a fresh look at Odebrecht members’ achievements every two months, because there’s no point in looking at new things in old ways, as the Brazilian writer Oswald de Andrade pointed out in the celebrated phrase that inspired the title of this editorial.
These changes are intended to make the magazine easier to read and easier on the eyes, without changing its basic character. This publication still has the same aim it had when it was created 36 years ago: serving as an internal and external communication tool and a way of bringing Odebrecht Group teams together, providing support for their businesses and bolstering each individual’s personal and professional development.
