Now that it has been introduced at the jobsites of CBPO Engenharia, it is Construtora Norberto Odebrecht’s (CNO) turn to host the O2 Project, an information tool that is starting to replace MyWebDay to make Odebrecht’s support activities more efficient. It will be introduced at CNO in January, with an innovation that resulted from the O2 team’s experience of working at CBPO’s jobsites: local training.

The benefits of this new model will include cutting down on travel costs and enabling people to learn more modules, because the multipliers will be able to teach classes at the user’s workplace. This close proximity between the realities of company members’ work and the O2 Project will make members even more confident and prepared to use this new tool.

To ensure CNO’s peace of mind, in October and November the O2 team introduced the project in parallel with projects being carried out in Brazil by the Conpar joint venture in Paraná, the Santo Antônio UHE (hydroelectric plant) joint venture in Rondônia, and Jackup Platforms P59 and P60 in Bahia. During that period, company members used both MyWebDay and O2 in their work at the same time.

“We really wanted to participate in that parallel process. I believe that this opportunity will give us a very good basis for honing our skills and getting results by January,” says Lucas Gantois, a member of the Conpar Procurement team. To help the three selected projects in the states of Paraná, Rondônia and Bahia, get started, the O2 team put on their boots and hardhats and went out to the jobsites to take a first-hand look at how the project was going in practice and see whether the tool needed tweaking. “This is a good way to learn hands-on instead of through simulations,” observes Wilson Figueiredo, the Conpar officer Responsible for Materials. Henry Müller, the officer Responsible for Administration and Finance on the Conpar project, says: “In addition to learning through experience, people will be able to do their jobs and learn to use O2 at the same time.” And he adds: “I believe that O2 will help the company stay ahead of the game. I wish everyone success in using this new work tool.”
