A team of Odebrecht pioneers arrived in Angola with thousands of crates and hundreds of containers to work on the Group’s first project in Africa. Their mission: building the Capanda hydroelectric plant on the Kwanza River in Malange Province. At the time, it was the largest project underway on the entire continent, and it is now a milestone in Angola’s development process. That is how, over 25 years ago, Odebrecht established a continental presence that now includes four countries.
