In 1990, Odebrecht established a presence in the United States. The first Brazilian company to win a public tender in that country, it debuted on US soil by building a section of Metromover, Miami’s people mover. Begun in 1991, this project launched Odebrecht’s challenging and iconic trajectory in the world’s leading economy, including operations in other US states and projects such as the Seven Oaks Dam in California.
